In Threes:

1. Housing Works

Basically the Goodwill of NYC, Housing Works is dedicated to ending homelessness and HIV/AIDS. With several locations around the city, these thrifts stores pass on their proceeds to help those less fortunate. Most of the donated goods in there are good quality — I got an Express peacoat today for $12.

2. Pearl River Mart

Anything Oriental that you could ever want can be found here, from bamboo to tea sets to sushi dishes to paper lanterns. In a word: awesome.

3. Blackberry Bling

Not my hand.

Apparently women in NYC are now asking their manicurists to paint their thumbs a different, flashier color than the rest of the their fingers so that they “stand out as you type … on your Blackberry.” Thumbs are becoming a “huge fashion accessory.” Ridiculous.
